Bio
Hi! I am Vanessa Rendon and I look forward to working with you as your tutor. I believe students learn best through engaging and personalized learning experiences. I aim to provide you support so that you will achieve your goals and experience growth in your learning. I am a life-long learner, and my strengths are in reading, writing, and humanities. I also love the arts and music. I have played the violin for many years and also enjoy singing. I have 4 dogs at home that I love dearly!
Teacher Specialization
I have 20 years of experience in Education, and I earned my Master's degree in Education. I have worked as an English Language Arts and Social Studies middle school teacher, Special Education teacher, English as a Second Language teacher, and as a School Counselor. I have experience with students of all grade levels, K-12. My approach to teaching as a tutor will be tailored to meet the individual needs of the student by utilizing differentiated instruction. In this setting, I feel that the "I do, You do, We do" model will help guide students step by step. My goal is for students to master what they have learned.
