Bio
Hello! My name is Dr. Anna Selph and I love science! I am a research scientist turned science teacher. My reason for teaching is to show how fun science can be. I want to spark a love of science in all my students. I believe that every student has the ability to learn and succeed when the correct approach is used. Education is not one size fits all and my job is to find what "fits" for the student and help them excel. My goal when teaching is the relate what students are learning to the real world so the student sees the value in what they are learning. It is very important for students to understand the reason they are learning the content. I think the most important thing any teacher can do is listen to their students, that is the first step in creating a great teacher/student relationship. My job is to listen to the student so that I am able to understand what they are struggling with so we can problem solve together so that I am able to tailor my teaching strategies to each student
