Bio

As an English teacher, I successfully taught English literature, writing skills, and grammar skills to high school students. As an attorney and administrative law judge (retired) with the Federal government, I successfully mentored attorneys through legal writing processes and have personally drafted numerous clear and concise legal documents and decisions. I believe in collaborative learning strategies to encourage students to work together, solve problems, and communicate effectively. I also adapt my teaching methods based on a student's individual learning needs. I provide effective, supportive, and immediate feedback that motivates and guides students, so they understand their progress toward the academic goal. My goal is to raise students' reading comprehension and mastery of the English language in a positive learning environment.

Teacher Specialization

I have a degree in English with 3.5 years teaching experience at an in-person school setting where I taught freshman, sophomores, and seniors. I also have a law degree (J.D.) with 30-years experience in drafting and perfecting legal documents. I have conducted and directly participated in numerous legal hearings and oral arguments throughout my legal career that enables me to also coach and encourage public speaking.
