Bio
Hi! I’m Carri, an experienced educator who believes that every student can make meaningful academic progress when instruction is clear, supportive, and tailored to the individual learner. I have experience working with elementary, middle, and high school students, including students receiving special education services and students who benefit from additional academic support. My tutoring style is positive, patient, structured, and interactive. I enjoy breaking challenging concepts into manageable steps and helping students develop strategies they can use independently. Whether we are working on reading, writing, study skills, organization, or another academic goal, I want students to leave each session feeling more confident and capable than when they began.

I have experience working with students across elementary, middle, and high school grade levels, with a particular emphasis on special education, individualized instruction, reading, writing, study skills, health, life skills, and career exploration. I currently work as a special education teacher and provide individualized academic and skill-based support to students with diverse learning needs. My educational background includes graduate-level study in education, and I am currently completing doctoral-level work in Education. My teaching approach emphasizes differentiated instruction, clear learning goals, positive relationships, and helping students develop the confidence and strategies necessary to become increasingly independent learners.
