Bio
Hello, I am Domineque. I have been teaching for 11 years. As an educator, I have earned the reputation of being the fun teacher. I enjoy incorporating a student's interests into the content I teach to make learning more memorable and meaningful. When students interact with content and can make a connection with the subject matter, it is much easier to retain what they've learned. As a tutor, I love breaking down complex content into simple steps that help students reach those rewarding aha moments. I believe in teaching students to think for themselves and ask questions to take charge of their own learning. Online tutoring in both small groups and one-on-one sessions have been shown to help bridge the learning gap. During our online lessons, we can personalize learning, set goals, and make education more interactive. Teacher Specialization
I have spent 6 years teaching all subjects in a 5th grade full inclusion classroom with typically performing students as well as students with various learning disabilities. I have spent 3 years teaching Language Arts and Social Studies to 5th and 6th graders at a passion-based school. I have also taught Kindergarten for 2 years. During my teaching career, I have tutored students K-6. I have a Bachelor's degree in Liberal Studies and K-6 Multiple Subject Teaching Credential.
