Bio
With 22 years of experience teaching Early Childhood through 4th grade, I specialize in helping students build strong reading and literacy skills through engaging, research-based instruction. I am a certified teacher with extensive experience supporting diverse learners, including students who need extra support in reading, phonics, fluency, comprehension, and foundational academic skills. My teaching approach is patient, encouraging, and individualized to help each child grow in both confidence and ability. I create a warm, positive learning environment where students feel comfortable taking risks, asking questions, and celebrating progress. Whether your child needs intervention, enrichment, or extra practice, I strive to make learning meaningful, effective, and enjoyable. My greatest joy is watching students gain confidence and experience those exciting “lightbulb moments” when new skills click.
Teacher Specialization
With more than 20 years of experience teaching students from Early Childhood through 4th grade, I bring extensive expertise in literacy development and elementary education. I hold a Master’s degree in Education with an emphasis in reading instruction and am certified as a Reading Specialist, ESL teacher, and Special Education teacher. I specialize in helping students strengthen foundational reading, phonics, fluency, comprehension, and overall academic confidence through individualized, research-based instruction.
