Bio
I believe students learn best when they have a growth mindset. Believing that you can accomplish something is over half the accomplishment itself. I like to use a variety of instructional strategies that will engage the learner so they retain the concept being taught. I love to build positive relationships with both my physical and online students. I want students to feel welcome in my tutoring sessions. Creating an environment where you feel loved and supported is my first goal. I have 4 children of my own and reside in Jacksonville, Florida. I love to spend time at the beach and go for walks. I choose to be a tutor because I really enjoy working with students in small groups and one on one.
Teacher Specialization
I currently teach 6th grade Math, Science, and History. Before accepting my current position, I taught 7th grade math for 6 years. I have also taught Pre-Algebra and Algebra. I taught 4th grade for 3 years prior to having children. I hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. I am 5-9 Mathematics and ESE K-12 certified with FLDOE.
