Bio
I am looking forward to helping to guide students in their continued learning. All students can learn and achieve, and my firm belief is that to best learn, you need to be met where you are at. The best progress is made by building each day on the achievements (big or small) that you have made previously. Every step should be and is celebrated! This philosophy extends to my life, where I like to spend my time learning new ways to achieve my wellness goals or broadening my understanding of the world around us through books.
Teacher Specialization
I hold degrees in both Elementary Education (1-6) and Moderate Disabilities (K-8). This is my eighth year of teaching, with the experience of having taught 5th grade (all core subjects), 6th grade (Social Studies), and 2nd/3rd grade at a therapeutic day school (all core subjects). I specialize in special education services both in special education and general education settings. I am looking forward to bringing my in-person specializations to the virtual classroom.
