Bio
Hi! I’m Kimberly Brown, and I have 24 years of teaching experience in Kindergarten, fourth grade, sixth grade, middle school, and special education. I’m also a certified district administrator, and for three years I worked as a special education consultant for the State of New York. My mission in education is to meet each child with patience, compassion, and steady support while helping confidence grow one step at a time. I’m currently in my 15th year leading a READ program at a local elementary school, and my favorite teammate is Sky—my certified READ dog, therapy dog, and K9 First Response dog. When students work with Sky they experience a calm and comforting space where reading feels safe, progress feels possible, and every effort is honored. I love teaching and my goal when teaching virtually or in person is to help every child feel seen, supported, and loved.

My certifications include: Elementary Education K-6 English 7-12 Special Education K-6 Bachelors degree in Elementary Education Masters Degree in Educational Psychology/Special Education Pre Doctorate in Educational Administration. Over the past 15 years, I have been implementing Reading Education Assistant Dog Programs in local elementary schools where students read and do academics with a certified therapy dog.
