Bio
Hello! My name is Lea and I’m passionate about helping students excel in a variety of school subjects. I find great joy in guiding learners to unlock their potential and develop a genuine love for learning. I believe that every student is unique, and their learning journey should be too. I focus on building a strong foundation of understanding while fostering curiosity and a growth mindset. I hold a Bachelor's Degree in Education, a Masters Degree in the Art of Teaching, and a Special Education certification. These degrees, and certifications, help me meet the diverse needs of students. I bring energy, patience, and creativity to every session, ensuring that lessons are both engaging and effective. I enjoy connecting topics to real-world examples or students’ interests so that the lessons are more engaging and realistic for my students. I look forward to helping students thrive and reach their goals. Let’s work together to make learning a fun and rewarding experience!
Teacher Specialization
I have been teaching for around 19 years. Some of those years were spent teaching in a Montessori school, a public charter school, public school, and online/virtual schools. I have taught students ranging from the ages of three to thirteen years old. About 11 years of my teaching was spent teaching students with disabilities. I have experience teaching students with Autism, Specific Learning Disabilities, Speech delays/issues, ADD/ADHD, Behavior disorders, and Intellectual Disabilities.
