Bio
Hi! My name is Ms. Futch! I enjoy reading, swimming and kayaking. I became a teacher because I love children! I believe learning should be fun and engaging. I want students to be involved and eager to learn. My goal is to get to know each student. It is important to help students feel confident in their abilities. I know they can do it! I truly listen to each child's ideas, interests and needs. I feel students learn best when they feel comfortable and valued. I look forward to helping you become an amazing student!
Teacher Specialization
For the past three years I’ve been a virtual teacher, teaching a wide range of ages. I’ve taught preschool age with Head Start to my current positions teaching music and STEM. Last year I taught 3rd grade and middle school music. I was a reading/math aide for 1 year. I have had over 20 years of experience caring and teaching children owning a licensed childcare home. Prior to this, I taught Pre-Kindergarten for 6 years.
