Hello, my name is Rudy Razo and I am a current certified teacher from California. I have been teaching for 10 years now. I believe the student always comes first. I take pride in understanding my students difficulties and how I can better help them. I do this by understanding their strengths and weaknesses through informal assessments. When I tutor a student I always have objectives to accomplish. As I tutor a student, I assure them that their educational goals will be obtained whether it be to prepare for a test or to better understand a standard. My goal is for students to reach their full potential. Each student has unique talents and abilities that sometimes need guidance to unlock. This is the part of teaching and tutoring that I enjoy. I build relationships with students through common ground and through education from the outside world. I build rapport with students through understanding their hobbies and interests. This helps me bring the outside world to the classroom.
Teacher Specialization
I have been teaching now for 10 years. Ten of those years have been in person and 3 years virtually. I have taught K-5th grade and have tutored K-12. I have also taught English from the kids to adults. I received my masters in education from Pepperdine university in 2020 with a California teaching credential . I also have a TESOL certification from Oxford University that I received in 2015 as well as a bachelors in political science from California Polytechnic University Pomona the same year.
