Hello! My name is Mrs. Stewart and I am excited to be your tutor! I am a mom of 3 boys and love to read, explore state parks, and take hikes. I am excited to bring my passion for education and reading to you and your students. I love to work with students to find out what they are passionate about and incorporate it into my tutoring sessions. I find students are much more excited to learn work if they are passionate about what they are learning. I am looking forward to building strong relationships with you and your student this year.
Teacher Specialization
I have been teaching for six years in brick-and-mortar and virtual settings. I have taught grades k-3 and love to work one-on-one with students. I am currently finishing my master’s in education administration at the University of Michigan. I have taken many classes to further my understanding of students learning to read including becoming Orton Gillingham certified and taking letters training. I also just finished a course on how to work with students to continue to grow their math skills.
