My name is Yolanda Hooper, and I am native of Brooklyn, NY. However, I now reside in Houston, TX. I believe each student enters the classroom with a unique set of skills and knowledge that must be supported by a transformational teacher. Students should receive equitable resources, access and experiences, that will enable them to thrive in an academic setting. In my classroom, I consistently try to create a classroom community that thrives on compassion, joy and a commitment to achieving the overarching goal. Lastly, a fun fact about me is that I am a twin!
