Bio
Hi! I’m Mrs. Cao, and I’ve been working in education for 14 years, including 3 years in virtual education. I have experience and credentials for teaching students from kindergarten through 12th grade, with a primary specialty in mathematics. I believe students learn best when instruction is engaging, appropriately challenging, and tailored to their individual needs through modeling, guided practice, questioning, and differentiation. I strive to create a supportive, inclusive environment where students feel valued, comfortable asking questions, and confident that mistakes are a natural part of learning. My goal is for students to leave each session with a stronger understanding of the material, along with the confidence, perseverance, and work ethic to tackle future challenges independently. I build meaningful relationships by understanding each student’s strengths and learning needs and providing encouragement and specific feedback that celebrates growth and identifies next steps.

I have 14 years of teaching experience, including 3 years in virtual education. I have taught mathematics across a wide range of grade levels and courses, including elementary mathematics, Math 1, Math 2, Math 3, Geometry, Algebra 2/Trigonometry, and Precalculus. I also have experience providing intervention math support, helping students strengthen foundational skills, build confidence, and overcome learning gaps.
