Hello! My name is Amy and I am a dedicated educator supporting students in grades 3-12 with individual instruction and engaging learning experiences. I love to connect what students are learning with their daily life to make the learning interesting and memorable. I strive to create a positive, supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, building confidence and developing the skills they need to be successful. By adapting lessons to each student's unique learning style, I help students strengthen their understanding of core concepts, improve academic performance, and become independent lifelong learners. I am committed to partnering with students and families to help every student reach their potential.

I have 29 years of teaching experience in middle school and high school science, including chemistry, physics and biology. I have five years of experience as a virtual high school science teacher. I also have experience teaching elementary math, ELA and science virtually. I have a Bachelor's degree in Zoology (University of California, Davis). I also have a Master's Degree in Education in the field of Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis on Gifted Education (University of Cincinnati).
