I am excited to collaborate with students and families to create an individualized tutoring environment that will recognize and respect individuality and give each student the opportunity to grow and succeed! I understand that each student is a unique individual with special qualities and needs. For your journey to success, my sessions will be interactive and include a mix of direct instruction and opportunities to practice. Lessons will be tailored to your individual learning style. Here's bit about me! I enjoy reading, cooking, gardening, and weightlifting. I also love to spend time with my family outdoors. Our favorite activities include hiking, swimming, fishing, kayaking, skiing, and golfing.
Teacher Specialization
I've been a teacher with Stride for 4 years and a teacher for 12 years. I've taught 1st, 3rd, 4th, 5th, and currently teach 7th grade Civics and Economics. My tutoring experience spans my teaching career and includes tutoring for end-of-year testing. I attended Radford University and obtained a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education with a concentration in English and Special Education in 2012.
