Bio
My name is Dr. Bridget, and my son and I live in Alabama. We love playing Roblox and watching cool videos together. I feel that students learn in many ways. I believe that using differentiated learning strategies will help individualize instruction so that each student gets the support and reinforcement they require and deserve. It is so important for students to believe in themselves and their ability to do well. For this reason, my goal of tutoring is not only to help students in their content area of focus, but also to build them up so that they are more confident learners. Building positive and purposeful relationships with students is extremely crucial because this builds trust, which is vital for students to feel comfortable in the tutoring environment. I like to learn about what interests my students and learn their personality during the session so that I can build on that and deepen our relationship. The reason I love tutoring is because I can individualize instruction.
Teacher Specialization
I hold a Master's degree in Secondary Education and Social Science, as well as a PhD in Curriculum and Instruction. I have been teaching for 22 years. I taught 5-11th grade Social Studies for 3 years. I taught in college for 10+ years teaching History. I have been tutoring Math for 3 years, 1 in person and 2 virtually. While not certified or licensed in it, I have worked with students with IEPs as well as Gifted and Talented.
