Bio
Hello, my name is Claire Brodeur and my students call me Mrs. B! Ever since I was a little girl, I knew I wanted to become a teacher. I believe children are strongly shaped by the people and world around them. Empathy for others, intrinsic motivation and learning by doing are at the heart of my teaching practices. I am a very patient, kind and caring educator. I will put your child's needs first and gear my instruction around his/her interests as well applicable real life experiences whenever possible to make the learning stick. I also value parent relationships and feedback. I would love the opportunity to work with your child, to set him/her up for success now but also in the future and help to develop lifelong learning along the way!
Teacher Specialization
I have been an elementary school teacher for six years including two years in-person and four years online. I have a Multiple Subjects Teaching Credential with ELA Authorization and Master's of Instruction and Curriculum from the University of San Diego. My past teaching experiences have spanned from Grades K-5 with emphasis in Grades K-3. I have worked with all types of students in whole group, small group and 1:1 settings covering ELA, Math, Science, Social Studies and Social Emotional Learning.
