Bio
I believe every student can succeed when instruction is personalized to meet their unique learning needs. Through clear explanations, visuals, guided practice, differentiated instruction, and meaningful feedback, I help students build confidence, strengthen skills, and become independent learners. My goal is to help students achieve academic success while developing confidence, critical thinking, and a lifelong love of learning. I strive to create a positive, inclusive environment where students feel respected, supported, and motivated to succeed. Hello! I'm Deanne. For more than 17 years, I've enjoyed helping multilingual learners and students of all abilities build confidence and achieve their goals. Outside of tutoring, I enjoy cooking, spending time outdoors, and learning Spanish.
Teacher Specialization
I specialize in high-dosage tutoring for students in grades 1–12, including monolingual and multilingual learners. For more than 17 years, I have supported English learners in developing reading, writing, speaking, listening, and academic language skills. Over the past 7 years, I have successfully taught and tutored students in virtual learning environments, providing personalized instruction in reading, writing, and math. I have experience supporting newcomers, long-term multilingual learners, and students with diverse learning needs. I use data-driven, research-based strategies to differentiate instruction, monitor progress, and build confidence, independence, and academic success. I partner with families and classroom teachers to support student growth and create engaging, encouraging learning experiences where every student feels valued, challenged, and empowered to reach their full potential.
