Bio
My teaching philosophy is influenced by Montessori principles and the belief that every learner has a unique learning style. Some students learn best visually, while others benefit from hands on, kinesthetic learning. I work to adapt my teaching so that each student can learn in the way that works best for them. I often use scaffolding in my instruction, helping students build understanding step by step so they gain both confidence and independence. I also enjoy incorporating videos and visual supports to make lessons engaging and easier to understand. My teaching style is patient, supportive, and focused on creating a positive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and growing as learners.
Teacher Specialization
I have been teaching for over 10 years. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and Special Education and am passionate about helping every student reach their full potential. I have taught in public and charter schools as well as on online learning platforms, working with students from kindergarten through 12th grade. I have tutored a variety of subjects including Algebra 1 and 2, Discrete Math, English, Government, and Social Studies. I also have experience supporting students with diverse learning needs, including ADHD, anxiety, eating disorders, and other learning and behavioral disabilities, and I adapt my teaching to help each student succeed.
