Hello! My name is Elvia Delgado. I am eager to help you with your academic goals! My supernatural powers are empathy, respect, kindness, and patience. I aim to help you tap into your natural gifts and abilities recognizing that you are uniquely and wonderfully made to learn. My commitment is to foster critical thinking skills and a love for learning, reminding you that learning is meant to be a rewarding experience filled with success and failure at times. Fostering a growth mindset while tutoring motivates and inspires me to serve you well as I believe embracing mistakes as learning opportunities is the key to personal growth. In my spare time, I love reading, writing, live music, running, and spending time with my family. I absolutely love all things English Grammar and I look forward to any chance I get to speak Spanish! Laughter is like medicine and I enjoy hearty laughs while doing hard things!
Teacher Specialization
I have taught for twenty-three years in various educational settings K-8. Tutoring students throughout my teaching career has been an honor. I am a Texas State certified bilingual educator with a reading specialization. Additionally, I earned a National Virtual Teaching Association certification and have six years of experience in virtual classrooms. I also have experience writing English curriculum and can speak Spanish. I am currently earning my Master's of Education.
