Bio
My name is Francine McGlaughlin, and I am a mathematics educator with over 20 years of experience teaching in both public school classrooms and online environments. I enjoy the creativity and logic involved in mathematics and love helping students approach and solve math problems with confidence and curiosity. My goal is to make every concept accessible, meaningful, and achievable for all learners.
Teacher Specialization
For the past five years, I have taught Algebra I and Geometry online and have experience teaching courses from Pre-Algebra through Calculus. I have a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from Penn State University. I enjoy the creativity and logic of mathematics and love helping students approach problem solving with confidence and curiosity. My goal is always to make each concept accessible and meaningful for every learner. When tutoring online, I prioritize building strong rapport with students by creating a supportive and engaging learning environment. I work with students to set clear goals and provide consistent feedback to track progress, reinforce understanding, and build confidence. In addition to instruction, I have coached students for Math League competitions guiding students through challenging problems.
