Bio
True learning begins with connection. I believe we all do our best learning when we feel comfortable, supported, and understood, so I take time to understand your goals, uncover your strengths, and create a plan together. My priority is helping students grow in confidence while building the skills they need to be successful. When appropriate, I am happy to work together with teachers and parents to make sure we are all working towards the same goals. As a parent to 6 children with a blend of needs - ADHD, Autism, AuDHD, giftedness, vision impairment, anxiety, and twice exceptional needs, providing students with individualized, flexible approaches that recognize and build on strengths while supporting needs is deeply personal to me. Whether you need extra support, more challenge, or a balance of both, I meet you where you are and walk alongside you every step of the way. I am honored to be part of your educational journey. We got this!
Teacher Specialization
I bring more than 20 years of experience supporting students of all ages and with a wide range of learning needs. I hold a Master Teacher designation in Texas, along with certifications in English Language Arts and Reading, English as a Second Language, and Special Education. I also have two master's degrees in education-focused fields and extensive training in instructional coaching, intervention, and enrichment (including gifted education). Throughout my career, I've been highly recognized for strong student growth and instructional impact, including being selected to serve on multiple state-level committees, being a 2023 regional semi-finalist in HEB's Excellence in Education Awards, and earning top performance results. In my current role, I work with students, parents, and teachers to support individualized learning plans. This experience allows me to provide thoughtful, flexible support while keeping progress and confidence at the center.
