Bio
Hello, My name is Hue Hang. I enjoy playing video games, traveling and spending quality time with my family. As a teacher, I recognize that students experience success when they are supported holistically. Holistic support of a student means developing meaningful relationships with them, providing clear expectations in a structured environment. Furthermore, it is a priority for me that I create a structured environment because I believe students learn best when expectations are clear and predictable. This in turn decreases barriers and distractions in the learning environment and allows for optimal learning. In closing, establishing meaningful relationships with students is crucial in the teaching profession because students are more responsive to adults, they feel connected to. I enjoy working with students, and I am grateful to be in this profession.
Teacher Specialization
I earned my Bachelor degree and Single Subject Teaching Credential in Physical Education. I have seven years of Physical Education teaching experience who's had the privilege of instructing students with diverse needs and circumstances grades TK - 12. I have taught virtually during distant learning and learned to navigate the education virtual setting within my seven years of teaching Physical Education. I also have experience in a substitute teacher role grades K-12. I notice the academic struggles student faces within this role and I want to be able to help students improve their academics. Furthermore, I use an explicit direct instruction teaching method along with checking for understanding. Explicit direct instruction is the information I will directly present, model the way to use the information, guide students in using the information, then have students work independently. This is turn will help students achieve their academic goals.
