Hello! I am excited for the opportunity to be your tutor! I love learning and love to share what I've learned. I believe in everyone's ability to learn and grow. My goal is to help students understand their subject content and gain the confidence in their own abilities. Whether you have specific school work you're struggling with or you just need extra practice in a certain subject, we can work on it together! I am here for you!
Teacher Specialization
I am certified in all core subjects - Reading/Language Arts, Math, Science, Social Studies - kindergarten through 8th grade. I have 10 years teaching experience, about half in elementary and half in middle school, mostly in Language Arts and Social Studies. My bachelor's degree is in Journalism and I have additional non-traditional education background in environmental education and exhibit planning. This experience gives me additional perspective on how people can enjoy learning!
