Bio
Hi! My name is Jeff Temkin, or Mr. T as I have been called as long as I've been called a "mister". Learning is a life long odyssey. I love learning and believe my passion is contagious. I’ve had had experience teaching everything from history , to advanced music theory, to economics, to beginning drums, to adult English for non speakers . Every learner is different. Every learner has their individual strengths. I find those and use them to unlock that potential. Let’s continue that odyssey!
Teacher Specialization
I am certified in New York State to teach social studies 7-12 and music k-12 with a Masters of Science in Education from State University of New York, Geneseo. I have spent 30 years as a music teacher in an urban environment. Over the last decade, I’ve gotten a lot of experience teaching social studies and ELA online. It’s been exciting to watch the growth of remote learning and its accompanying technology. I’ve had the privilege of utilizing over a dozen learning management systems. I believe this is the future of education.
