Bio
My name is Julie, and I am a dedicated K–12 tutor committed to helping students grow academically and personally. I bring patience, clarity, and encouragement to every session, creating a learning environment where students feel supported, capable, and motivated. My goal is to meet learners exactly where they are and guide them toward meaningful progress. I believe every student is capable of success when given the right tools, guidance, and confidence. Learning should be engaging, personalized, and empowering. I focus on building strong foundational skills, encouraging curiosity, and helping students develop lifelong learning habits. Our goals together are to strengthen academic skills through clear instruction and targeted practice while helping students recognize their strengths and creating resilience. Strong relationships are at the heart of effective tutoring. I take time to learn about each student—their interests, challenges, and what motivates them.
Teacher Specialization
With 13 years of experience in K–12 education, I bring a strong background in both traditional and virtual instruction. I have taught elementary (3rd grade) as well as high‑school intensive reading (grades 9–12), giving me a wide perspective on student development, literacy needs, and differentiated learning. My virtual teaching experience includes one year with Florida Virtual School (FLVS) and additional online instruction during the COVID‑19 transition, where I supported students through digital platforms, remote engagement strategies, and individualized online learning plans. I hold advanced credentials that strengthen my instructional approach, including a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership, K–12 teaching certification, ESE certification, and ESOL and Reading Endorsements. These qualifications allow me to support diverse learners, design targeted interventions, and create inclusive learning environments that meet the needs of all students.
