Bio
Hello! I am a friendly, patient tutor who loves helping students feel more confident with their learning. I focus on breaking down tricky topics into simple, easy to understand steps and adapting lessons to each student's learning style. My goal is to make sessions relaxed, engaging, and productive.....so students feel comfortable asking questions and enjoy learning. Whether you are trying to improve grades, catch up, or get ahead, I am here to support you every step of the way.
Teacher Specialization
I have 5 1/2 years experience teaching in a classroom setting. A Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood and Elementary Education, middle school math, middle school science, and an ESOL endorsement. I use differentiated instruction, provide visuals, hands on activities, and model instruction to support understanding. It is important to help students to set realistic goals and make a plan for achievable steps. Progress is monitored through check-ins and observations. I have experience with students that have an IEP, 504, or SST plans. I also have experience with newcomers and those advancing to exit ESOL programs.
