Bio

I’m Tina Brigham, a certified teacher and media specialist with a passion for helping students build confidence as readers, writers, and researchers. I’ve taught grades 1–6 and served as a PreK–5 media specialist, where I guided students in using books and technology to find reliable information and think critically. My lessons are well-organized, engaging, and tailored to meet each learner’s needs. Before teaching, I worked in educational publishing as a textbook writer and editor for Harcourt School Publishers and as a Product Manager at Scholastic Book Fairs. I hold a Master’s in Library and Information Studies from Florida State University and a Bachelor’s in Design from Saginaw Valley State University. I’m certified as an Educational Media Specialist (PreK–12) in Florida, Oregon, and Michigan, and I love helping students discover that learning can be both structured and inspiring.

Teacher Specialization

I specialize in helping students develop strong literacy and critical-thinking skills across all grade levels. I’m especially passionate about supporting primary grade learners as they build solid foundations in reading and math, using engaging, hands-on lessons that make learning both fun and meaningful. With older learners, I focus on reading nonfiction texts, conducting research, and writing to explain their ideas clearly and confidently. My goal is to equip every student with the skills to understand information, think critically, and communicate effectively—skills that empower them for lifelong learning.
