Bio
Hi! I'm Kyra Ansel, an elementary teacher who is passionate about helping students grow academically and build confidence. I've taught 2nd through 4th grade, worked extensively in online learning, and have experience tutoring students both individually and in small groups. This past year, I worked as a substitute teacher across all elementary grade levels, giving me experience with a wide variety of learners. After welcoming twins, I stepped away from my full-time classroom role to spend more time with my family, but I've loved continuing my passion for teaching through tutoring and substitute teaching. Whether your child needs extra support, help catching up, or wants to get ahead, I strive to create a positive, encouraging environment where they feel comfortable asking questions, taking risks, and celebrating their progress. Teacher Specialization
I have experience with over six years of teaching elementary aged students. I hold a Master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction and have background teaching 2nd through 4th grade. After leaving my full-time classroom position to become a stay-at-home mom, I spent the past year working as a substitute teacher, giving me valuable practice across all elementary grade levels and in a variety of classroom settings. In addition to my classroom teaching years, I have provided tutoring for both small groups and individual students in online and in-person settings. These experiences have strengthened my ability to adapt instruction to meet each student's unique learning needs while building confidence and academic success.
