Bio
My approach is encouraging and tailored to each child's unique learning style. Whether the student needs extra support, enrichment, or confidence-building, I create lessons that make learning engaging, meaningful, and fun. My goal is to help each student reach or exceed grade-level expectations in reading and math. I want to help them build strong foundational skills that support learning and help develop confidence and independence as a learner. I cultivate a positive attitude toward learning and developing good relationships with students and families. I love reading and want to encourage others to read also. During my 31 years teaching career I have enjoy working with children and helping them become lifelong successful learners.
Teacher Specialization
My bachelor's degree is in Liberal Studies and I have a California Clear Multiple Subjects teaching credential, and a CLAD English learner authorization certificate. During my 31 years of general education teaching I have taught grades 1-4 in all subject areas Math, Language Arts, Science and Social Studies. The last five years I have taught online classes for 2nd and 3rd grade. Reading, writing and math for grades 1-4 are my specialty.
