Bio
During my career, I have built up experience in teaching at the elementary and middle school levels, both in-person and online, and am skilled at designing and implementing engaging curriculum and providing intervention services. I place a strong focus on the whole child and facilitate student independence and responsibility. Using inquiry-based learning and researched-based strategies, I have elevated student achievement while fostering the love of learning. Additionally, I have served in teacher leadership and curriculum development roles.
Teacher Specialization
I have been lucky enough to teach in Hawaii, Australia, and Indiana. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Special Education from Indiana University and my Master of Arts in Applied Linguistics from Griffith University in Australia. I have worked with ages two through 18 from preschool to high school. I am a certified reading specialist and a licensed special educator.
