Bio
I want all students to grow to their full potential. As their tutor, I will strive to make learning fun and engaging while personalizing each lesson to each student’s learning needs. I want to get to know each student’s personality and interests so I can tailor lessons to fit them. I want my students to use their creativity, problem-solving, and thinking skills as they work toward academic success. Students learn best by working through the content and building a deeper understanding in ways that are relatable to them. Therefore, I will strive to connect the subject content to real-life experiences. I will model for them, guide their practice of the content, and finally be there to help as they move into independent work. This strategy allows your student to practice and gain confidence as they learn new skills. In so doing, they will be confident learners as they face new situations, problems, assessments, and challenges. This will allow them to become lifelong learners.
Teacher Specialization
I earned my degree from Concordia University Chicago's College of Education. I have been teaching for 2 years in a self-contained 4th-grade classroom. I have been tutoring for the last 10 years. I have tutored students from elementary age through high school. I find so much joy and look forward to celebrating with your student as they develop stronger academic skills and find academic success.
