Bio
Dr. Nicholas Indeglio (“Dr. I” to his students) is a veteran educator, school leader, and culture-builder whose career spans elementary education, special education, secondary administration, and graduate-level teaching. For 16 years, he has served as Principal of Downingtown Middle School, where he leads with a relationships-first mindset and a relentless commitment to building a true family culture where students and staff feel known, supported, and challenged. His guiding mottos, “Every Child, Every Day” and “Either you run the day or the day runs you,” capture his high-energy, people-first leadership style. A 2017 NASSP National Digital Principal, Dr. I is known for innovation, humor, and clear expectations. He is also a proud father of two teenage daughters, has 8 dogs, moonlights as a professional wrestler, and was the Penn State Nittany Lion Mascot from 1996–1998.
Teacher Specialization
Dr. Nicholas Indeglio’s teaching experience spans elementary, special education, middle school, high school, and graduate/doctoral-level teaching. He taught 4th grade for two years in the State College Area and Perkiomen Valley School Districts, then served four years in Upper Merion Area School District in Emotional Support, Physical Support, and Learning Support. He has also taught graduate and doctoral education leadership courses. During COVID, while serving as Principal of Downingtown Middle School, he taught every subject in grades 7 and 8 to support students and staff. He currently helps lead efforts to teach educators and students how to use AI responsibly and effectively. He has also coached middle and high school cross country, high school track, high school cheerleading, and post-high school professional wrestling training.
