Bio
Hello! I am Nicole Consiglio, a certified K–8 educator with over seven years of classroom teaching experience across general education and STEM roles. I hold a Bachelor’s in Elementary Education from Eastern Michigan University and a Master’s in Learning, Design, and Technology from Central Michigan University. I believe in a student-centered educational philosophy where instruction is differentiated to meet each learner's unique needs, style, and goals. By encouraging a growth mindset, I empower students to embrace new challenges with confidence. My primary tutoring goal is to help K–8 students master core content in Math, Science, ELA, and Social Studies while closing learning gaps and building strong problem-solving skills. Because strong relationships are the foundation of learning, I build genuine connections by cultivating empathy, respect, and positive reinforcement so students feel comfortable taking risks and celebrating their progress.
Teacher Specialization
My professional experience includes extensive work with early elementary students and virtual instruction. As a First and Second Grade Teacher, I specialized in small-group and 1-on-1 instruction, delivering targeted interventions in foundational reading, writing, and math to meet each child's specific academic needs. Additionally, during the 2020–2021 school year, I taught first grade in a fully remote environment, giving me deep experience managing virtual classrooms, adapting core curricula for online delivery, and maintaining high student engagement through digital platforms. Combined with my role as a K–4 STEM Teacher and Media Coordinator, where I integrated tools like Google Suite and Scratch, I have built a strong background in using educational technology to make online learning accessible, interactive, and effective.
