Bio
Hello! My name is Nicole Parker, and I'm an experienced educator with a passion for helping students grow in confidence and ability. I believe that every student is capable of success when given the right support, structure, and encouragement. My teaching philosophy centers on meeting students where they are and guiding them toward deeper understanding through clear instruction, meaningful practice, and strong relationships. I focus on building not only academic skills, but also independence, problem-solving, and confidence—skills that will serve students far beyond the classroom. Throughout my career, I have had the opportunity to work with a wide range of learners, including those who need additional support with organization, executive functioning, and foundational skills. I take pride in creating lessons that engage students and maintain high expectations for growth. Helping students experience those “lightbulb moments” is one of the most rewarding parts of what I do.
Teacher Specialization
I hold a degree in elementary education from BYU, and I have 7 years of experience teaching all subjects in grades 4-8. My background includes online teaching, STAAR preparation, small group instruction, and curriculum development. As a teacher and tutor, I am known for being patient, encouraging, and charismatic. I strive to create a positive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, taking risks, and making mistakes as part of the learning process. At the same time, I provide clear expectations and consistent support to help students stay on track and achieve their goals. I look forward to partnering with students and families to support meaningful progress and long-term success.
