Bio
I’m a lifelong learner, educator, and soccer coach who genuinely enjoys helping kids grow and discover what they’re capable of. Whether I’m teaching in a classroom, coaching on the field, or mentoring a student one-on-one, I believe the best learning happens when people feel supported and encouraged to take risks. I care about building confidence just as much as building skills, and I want the kids I work with to feel like their voice and perspective matter. My approach to teaching is patient, positive, and relationship-driven, while still holding students to high expectations. At the end of the day, I love learning myself, and I hope to help others find that same excitement and confidence in their own growth.
Teacher Specialization
My background in education began with earning my law degree, which gave me a strong foundation in reading, writing, critical thinking, and communication. I began working as a substitute teacher and spent about two years gaining experience across different grade levels, with much of that experience focused on English. I also taught middle school history for a semester, which strengthened my interest in working with middle school students and helping them connect classroom learning to the world around them. I went on to earn my Master’s in Education and a California Single Subject English Teaching Credential, followed by long-term substitute experience teaching high school English. These experiences have given me a broad foundation in law, English, history, writing, and critical thinking, with a particular passion for helping kids become confident, capable communicators.
