Bio
Greetings! I am so glad you're here! I am a dedicated teacher, certified in K-6, who is passionate about helping students build confidence and mastery in reading and writing. I am a mom of a middle schooler and high schooler, as well as a seasoned classroom teacher. I understand how hard it is to find the right tutor to help your child succeed. I prioritize meeting learners where they are and helping them grow academically. I believe every child can succeed with the right support and guidance. Learning should be structured, supportive, and student-centered. My approach emphasizes strong foundational skills in reading and writing, while developing independent thinking and problem-solving skills. My goal is for each session to end with not just completed work but a genuine understanding. I strive to build trust with my students by creating a safe and respectful learning environment, while incorporating student interests into lessons.
Teacher Specialization
I specialize in Elementary Education and Middle School English Language Arts. I have been teaching for almost 20 years and hold a bachelor's degree from Florida International University. My online teaching experience includes reading comprehension, writing development, grammar, vocabulary, and homework support for students up to 6th grade. During our online tutoring session, I will prioritize academic progress, help develop strong study habits, and guide learners toward becoming independent.
