Bio
Hi! My name is Ms. Suzanne, and I was born and raised in Australia. I’ve been teaching in the United States for over ten years, and I truly believe that every learner is unique. I use precision teaching and differentiated instruction to meet students where they are—building on their strengths while supporting their growth. Mistakes are part of learning, so I provide immediate, constructive feedback in a fun, confidence-building environment that encourages both mastery and curiosity. I set clear, targeted goals and adjust instruction using behavior-based strategies and anecdotal notes to guide progress and planning. My goal is to foster independence, creativity, and a genuine love of learning. I’m patient, empathetic, and committed to helping students overcome challenges. I create a safe and encouraging space where learners feel supported, understood, and proud of their progress. Tutoring allows me to share my love of learning and celebrate each student’s success, one step at a time.

I have over ten years of experience teaching K-12 and college-level, in in-person, online, and hybrid (blended) modalities. I have taught the following: Kindergarten (2 years, in-person, all subjects); 1st grade (4 years, in-person: two years, all subjects; one year: reading/ELA; one year: math & science); 4th and 5th grade (1 year, in-person, science); 5th-9th grades (1 year, in-person, reading/ELA); 6th & 8th grades (2 semesters, in-person, ELA); 8th grade (2 semesters, in-person, social science); and college-level (5 semesters: in-person, two semesters, ESOL; online, two semesters, ESOL; hybrid/blended, one semester, English for Academic Purposes). I am currently certified in teaching: Elementary K-6; ESOL K-12; ELA 5-9; and Social Science 5-9. I have the following teaching endorsements: Reading and Gifted.
