Bio
Hi! I'm Sydney Bundy, a licensed K–6 teacher. I live in North Carolina with my husband and our three children. My teaching philosophy is that every child can succeed when instruction is personalized, encouraging, and engaging. I strive to build confidence while helping students reach their individual goals. My tutoring sessions are fun, interactive, and designed to keep students motivated through games, hands-on activities, and positive encouragement. I love creating a welcoming environment where children feel comfortable asking questions, taking risks, and celebrating their growth. I look forward to partnering with your family to help your child succeed!
Teacher Specialization
I have 8 years of classroom experience. I taught virtually during the COVID shut down. Once students were able to return to school, I remained the virtual teacher for kindergarten students in my district who chose to stay home. I earned my B.S. in Elementary Education from UNC Greensboro and am trained and certified in the Science of Reading, providing evidence-based instruction that helps students become confident readers and learners. I specialize in helping elementary students build strong foundations in reading, literacy, and core academic skills. Using evidence-based practices from the Science of Reading, I provide explicit, systematic instruction in phonemic awareness, phonics, fluency, vocabulary, and reading comprehension. I also support students in math, writing, and overall academic confidence for grades K–6. My lessons are personalized, engaging, and designed to meet each child's unique learning needs while building confidence, independence, and a love of learning.
