Bio
Hello! I'm Sydnie, a highly qualified, certified K-6 Educator with a passion for helping students gain an understanding and confidence through learning. I am a lover of all things sports, outdoors, and was a proud member of the FFA where I served as a State Officer for Wyoming. I have loved teaching the past 6 years, gaining experience at multiple grade levels, and hope the individualized work of tutoring can bring even more understanding for students. I believe students learn best when they feel understood and seen. There are multiple ways to view many different things and each child's thinking is valuable. Students should both be supported and challenged to reach their full potential. Through tutoring I hope students gain an understanding of the content but also a confidence in themselves and their abilities. Learning whole group may be too much for some students where small group or 1 on 1 instruction can help them identify specific challenges and overcome them.
Teacher Specialization
In my 6 years of education I have worked with multiple grade levels, doing team teaching, solo teaching, and most recently I spent the year closely working with our special education teacher for specially designed instruction. My training with LETRS and AVMR has helped me develop and implement plans for students at all levels of academic needs.
