Bio
Hi! I’m Tanya Fowler. I discovered my love for teaching early and solidified that love in college when I had the chance to work as a tutor. Throughout my years as a licensed teacher, I have learned that I truly enjoy helping students who are struggling with math because I like to explore lots of different ways to approach problems and love seeing students find methods that suit them best, even when those methods are less traditional than the ones I have presented. It is so satisfying to see students realize that math doesn't have to be as scary as it sometimes seems!
Teacher Specialization
I started my career in education as a tutor on my college campus while also substitute teaching. I have been a full-time licensed math teacher for 23 years, teaching all levels of high school math, with 12 of those years as an online instructor. I have also taught math at the college level for 11 years as an adjunct professor. I earned a BS in Education from Lincoln University, an MS in Urban Education from NOVA Southeastern University, and an MEd in Educational Administration from UNLV.
