Bio
Hello! My name is Taylor and I am so excited to start our learning journey! I believe students learn best when they first trust their teacher, then are able to begin learning! Feedback should be immediate and with delivered with care. Students learn differently and it is crucial that teachers meet the needs of their students The goals I have for my students are the ability to think critically and problem solve, even if it means to creatively think about solutions. I believe that you build positive and meaningful relationships by getting to know students interests, likes, enjoying fun and creative games together, I am Taylor and I enjoy playing ice hockey, runnings, reading and spending time my family. I became a teacher to make s positive impact on students just as teachers did for me growing up!
Teacher Specialization
I have had the honor to have taught for the past NINE years in the elementary school setting spanning grades kindergarten to 6th grade. During this time, I taught online for two years in which I learned that online learning can be fun! I also went back to school and received my Master's degree in Education in 2019. I specialized in the positive effects of flexible seating and how it increases the learning of students. I believe that online learning can have a similar effect due to the flexibility online learning offers. I am excited to expand my passion for teaching by tutoring online with K12!
