Bio
I believe that all students have the potential to learn; it just depends on how they learn and how they are taught. I will provide meaningful feedback by focusing on student growth rather than perfection. The goals that I aim to achieve through tutoring are to equip all students with a growth mindset (both in and out of academics) and help students achieve their goals through differentiated learning strategies and creativity. I believe that building positive and meaningful relationships with students is just as fundamental in education as academics. I believe that every child should feel valued & accepted, which I will provide by creating a supportive and inclusive environment for all students. I decided to become a tutor because I love teaching (especially when it comes to teaching language arts and reading)! I love to plan engaging and differentiated lessons to help students excel!
Teacher Specialization
I graduated from Dallas Baptist University with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education. During my time there, I taught Kindergarten-2nd grade and also tutored three students in reading. After I graduated, I taught kindergarten for two years.
