Bio
My name is Dr. Katie, and I believe in making learning fun, engaging, and catered to students' needs and interests. I believe teaching should be inquiry-based and constructivist. My goal for my students is to reach their potential in a safe and caring environment.
Teacher Specialization
I have 27 years of teaching experience. For 7 years, I taught 3rd, 5th and 8th grade reading, writing, and social studies. I am currently a university professor who teaches new teachers. I've worked with many students who have special learning needs including ADD and dyslexia, and I have experience working with gifted students. My Master's and Ph.D. are in Curriculum and Instruction.
